Precision detailing for precision machines
WHY PORSCHE OWNERS CHOOSE US
Porsche is known for some of the softest clear coat in the industry. A single improper wash can leave visible swirl marks on a 911's paint. Our technicians approach every Porsche with the same precision the factory uses to build them — paint depth measurements before any machine touches the surface, progressive polishing compounds, and finishing techniques that reveal depth most owners have never seen in their paint.
Porsche Paint Characteristics
Porsche clear coat is among the softest in the automotive industry — particularly on 911 models and GT variants. The paint shows imperfections readily, which means both the problem and the solution are more visible. After a proper Stage 2 correction, Porsche paint has a depth and clarity that few other manufacturers can match. We always measure with a paint gauge — Porsche factory paint thickness varies significantly between panels.

PORSCHE OWNERSHIP IN SAN DIEGO
San Diego County is one of the top 5 Porsche markets in the United States. The city’s year-round driving weather means a higher percentage of 911s are daily-driven rather than garaged — which means more paint exposure and more detailing demand. Rancho Santa Fe has the highest Porsche density in our service area: GT3, GT4, and Turbo models are common in multi-car collections at The Bridges and Fairbanks Ranch estates. La Jolla and Del Mar account for the most 911 and Cayenne clients. The Porsche Club of America San Diego Region (SDR) is one of the largest PCA chapters nationally with 2,400+ members — many of whom are our regular clients.

For all Porsche models: Our first step is always a 12-point paint depth survey using an Elcometer gauge. Porsche factory paint varies dramatically between panels — we’ve measured 30+ micron differences between the hood and fender on the same vehicle. This data guides every correction decision. 911 models: Stage 2 correction ($720+ with premium surcharge) is the standard recommendation. The soft clearcoat means swirls are deep but also means correction produces dramatic results. We use Rupes UltraFine DA system with diminishing abrasives calibrated for Porsche softness. Cayenne/Macan: The larger surface area means correction takes 8–10 hours vs 6–8 for a 911. Paint quality is the same softness level. Ceramic coating ($540+ for coupe, $660+ for SUV) is essential — Porsche clearcoat without protection will show swirl marks within a single hand wash if technique is imperfect. GT models: We decline quick-turnaround correction on GT3 RS, GT4 RS, and other track vehicles. These get our most thorough, slowest protocol: 45 minutes per panel, paint depth logged per section, and test spots approved before proceeding.
COMMON PORSCHE ISSUES IN SAN DIEGO
Porsche-specific issues in San Diego: (1) PCCB brake dust — Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes produce a fine, extremely abrasive dust that contains ceramic particles. This dust bonds to wheels AND body paint around the wheel arches. Standard iron removers alone do not fully dissolve PCCB dust — we use a combination of pH-neutral wheel cleaner + iron fallout + gentle mechanical agitation. (2) Rear deck lid deterioration on 911s — the engine lid on rear-engine 911s absorbs tremendous heat, accelerating clearcoat breakdown. We see 911 deck lids that need correction 2x more frequently than the rest of the vehicle. (3) Stone chip accumulation on Caymans/Boxsters — the mid-engine layout places the front fenders in the direct stone-throw path. We recommend ceramic coating or PPF on front fenders immediately after purchase. (4) Alcantara deterioration — GT and GTS interiors use extensive Alcantara that hardens and shines from UV and hand oils. We clean Alcantara with every detail visit to prevent permanent damage.
WHAT PORSCHE OWNERS SAY
"I was nervous letting anyone machine polish my GT3. They measured every panel with a paint gauge before starting, showed me the readings, and explained their plan. The result was flawless — deeper gloss than the day I took delivery. True professionals."
"I brought my GT3 Touring for correction and was nervous handing it to anyone. They measured every single panel, showed me the readings on a tablet, and explained exactly what they could safely remove. The result was stunning — mirror-finish depth I’d never seen before."
"My Cayenne is our family hauler but I still want it to look good. Their full detail handles the kid mess, the dog hair, and the beach sand we track in. The exterior looks better each visit. We’re on the monthly subscription."
